You’re absolutely ecstatic because you’ve just booked up for
a cruise and summer is just around the corner. You have a good reason to be
excited because it’s going to be one of the best holidays you’ve ever had.
Spending your days on a massive floating island is fun and exploring the towns
you stop at along the way is even better. With that being said, there are some
things you need to watch out for. We’re going to look at some things you should
not do during the cruise.
Steal the Poolside Chairs
There are only a limited amount of poolside chairs around
the swimming pool and that means everyone won’t get one every day. You really
don’t want to pull the old ‘towel trick’ and leave your towel lying on the
chair when you’re not there because it won’t please a lot of people. You might
find it floating in the pool when you eventually turn up. Luckily it’s now
banned on lots of cruise ships.
Stay On The Ship
Just because you love spending time on the ship doesn’t mean
you shouldn’t get off and explore the towns you stop at because sometimes they
can be full of surprises. Even if you’ve been there before doesn’t mean you
won’t be able to look around and find someone new to do. Spending a week or two
on a ship is great, but sometimes it’s really nice to have a change of scenery.
Watch Your Figure
If you are trying to lose weight you should put it to one
side as soon as you step onto the ship. Enjoy yourself and don’t worry about
what you’re eating and drinking. It’s meant to be a holiday and the restaurants
will become your favorite places on the ship. You will have new and exotic food
to try for the first time and you get to drink lovely cocktails with an
umbrella and far too many straws.
Be Stingy With Tips
Everyone on-board who is serving your something or running
around after you will not be making a lot of money. They will really appreciate
it if you look after them and give them a decent tip. It means when you need a
favor you always have someone to count on. A few dollars might not be a lot of
money to you, but it is to them and they rely on passengers to help bump up
their small pay packet.
Go With The Flow
I know you’re on holiday and being organized is probably the
last thing on your mind, but you do need to plan a little into the future.
Imagine walking down to your favorite restaurant at dinner time only to find
out there are no tables available. If you forget to book in for a massage you
might not be able to get one the same day. Plan some things to make your
holiday go a lot smoother.
Forget About The
Kids’ Clubs
If you have children you might decide that you want to spend
time with them every day, which means they don’t get to enjoy the kids’ clubs.
That is a pity because cruise ships have some amazing clubs that your children
will love. Not only will they get to play with the other children, but their
day will be packed with lots of enjoyable activities.
Ignore The Safety Drill
You might be on the biggest ship in the world, but didn’t they say the last one was unsinkable? Don’t be alarmed because there is little chance of anything bad happening, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be prepared for it just in case. When the safety drill is being carried out you must make sure you are paying good attention.
