The most enormous resort in South America is Cerro Catedral, which is located about 20 km from the city and not far from the Nahuel Huapi National Park. The total area of the resort is 1,200 hectares. Many skiers take off early in the morning to enjoy the wonderful snow-white scenery.

At the very end of the continent the remote resort of Ushuaia is located. It is the capital of Argentina’s Tierra del Fuego province and the world’s southernmost city. Here you can find the southernmost ski resort, which is called Cerro Castor. Due to its north position a ski season is the longest in South America.
